Presenting:

HEAD>>FAKE featuring DOUG WIMBISH and WILL CALHOUN

Will Calhoun by Petra RichterovaThe explosive rhythm section that drives the Grammy Award winning rock band Living Colour, is the dynamic duo behind the SoundSystem that is Head>>Fake.

Pioneers in jungle, drum & bass and dubstep performance, Head>>Fake, since 1995, has been breaking sound barriers with its mastery of technology and musicianship. Their signature song, “Cycles,” a mid-tempo trance-inducing groove with psychotic bass romping and bombastic drumming, is a like a canvas of the musical personalities that form the band.

Will Calhoun received his BA in recording and engineering from the Berklee College of Music. Will has produced recorded and toured with artists from around the world including Mick Jagger, Harry Belafonte, Pharaoh Sanders, Wayne Shorter, McCoy Tyner,  Salif Kieta, Marcus Miller, Mos Def (Yassin Bey), Stanley Jordan, Lauryn Hill, Paul Simon, Emily Sailers and Public Enemy, to name a few. His unique style of blending acoustic and electronic rhythmic concepts puts him in a class of rare new breed Rhythmatist. Between touring and recording, Will spends much of his time abroad researching Music and Ancestral Rhythms in West Africa, South America, and remote parts of Asia.
